In a meadow cross the ocean see a fog
Caught the daylight in its gaze and now its lost
Clouds could see beyond your walls like prying eyes
We could see into your mind from in the sky
For all intents and purposes the cause is gone
We could walk for days and days the journey's long
Realize the lies will soon light up like fireflies
We could make out shapes until the daylight dies

Out a window from the foyer see the snow
Falling gently on the church grounds and my soul
Memories invade my mind like hateful words
Peaking at my sanity like mocking birds
